LPG engineer
by: David-

It is a legal requirement to have all mobile catering vehicles and trailers that have gas equipment installed, inspected by a Gas Safe registered engineer.

It is illegal to remove or replace any piece of gas equipment, the only exception to this is if the equipment has been fitted with ‘snap connector’ type hoses unless you are a Gas Safe registered engineer

You need a qualified mobile catering LPG

you can adapt cooker or buy pro
by: Sarah

Hi ,
it is possible to buy special adapters which make a natural gas cooker suitable to run on butane, not sure where you can buy them tho, they change the amount of air added to gas. Best to ask a professional.
Otherwise look at calor gas who make domestic cookers suitable for running on lpg.

Lincat make professional cookers, lots of catering trailer fitters use them. If you look at their website they have lots of companies who can supply them, many with free delivery, you should be able to find one near you. Professional cookers are much more robust for using every day, and for transporting about in a trailer or truck, you can buy them in different sizes suitable for your needs.
Talk to your supplier or Lincat who I've found very helpful.

LPG Cooker For Moible Catering Van
by: David

Hi Becky,

It really needs to be an LPG cooker which the likes of Curries or Dixons don't stock; they sell normal house hold cookers which run on natural gas. The LPG cooker runs on a different type of gas referred to as a liquefied petroleum gas which is entirely different.

Any good mobile catering equipment supplier will sell a range of LPG cookers which will be the right type for your snack van.Try Excel Trailers sell a range of catering equipment and catering trailers

Best of luck
David
