I have seen many businesses offering catering trailers for hire, but i want a catering van, such as the evico. do you know of any?

Hi Joe,

It seems it’s quite difficult to hire a mobile catering van as opposed to a catering trailer and this is mainly down to cost. The purchase price of a catering van compared to that of a catering trailer can be up to 50 per cent more expensive, so for many businesses it’s not worth it.

Also bear in mind catering vans are more prone to be stolen, and then there’s the other extra cost such as yearly MOT, road tax and basic wear and tear.

The bottom line is - if you do find somewhere that rents out a catering van it will probably turn out to be much more expensive compared to a catering trailer.

The only other option is to try and buy a catering van or a standard van and have it converted to a catering van; either option is not going to be cheap for you.
