We are permanently based with an outside catering unit for thirty years at the Royal Guards Polo Club, Smiths Lawn, Windsor Great Park, and as of now we come under the umbrella of the above club where a LPG certificate is required. The catering unit is never moved, and operate our business only during the summer months when there is polo being played. Please could you visit us to obtain the certificate, or any other recommendation would be much appreciated. Thanking you. Mr.P. Andriesma, of Stag Catering.

LPG Certificate Polo Club
by: MobCater

Hello,

Thank you for your enquiry regarding the LPG certification for your permanently based outdoor catering unit at Royal Guards Polo Club, Smiths Lawn, Windsor Great Park. Since your unit operates with propane gas cylinders, ensuring that all LPG appliances and installations are compliant with UK gas safety regulations is essential.

What You Need to Do

To obtain an LPG gas safety certificate, your catering unit must be inspected by a Gas Safe registered engineer who specialises in LPG systems. Given that your unit is fixed and not mobile, the requirements are slightly different from a standard mobile catering setup, but you must still comply with safety standards.

Steps to Obtain Your LPG Certificate

Book a Gas Safe Engineer Inspection

You will need an LPG-certified Gas Safe registered engineer to visit your site, inspect your appliances, pipework, and gas storage setup, and issue a Gas

Safety Certificate if everything meets the required standards.

Ensure Compliance with Safety Regulations

Make sure your hoses, regulators, and connections are in good condition and meet the latest gas safety standards.
Gas cylinders must be securely stored in a ventilated area, away from ignition sources.

Regular Servicing & Maintenance

Even though you only operate in the summer months, it’s recommended that all gas appliances are serviced annually to ensure safe operation.

Booking a Gas Safe Engineer

- We highly recommend contacting a Gas Safe registered engineer who specialises in commercial catering LPG inspections.

-If you need an engineer to visit your site, you can schedule an appointment through trusted LPG catering specialists.

Best of luck.
