What is a MLM work from home opportunity? This is a good question and one that I’m hoping to answer for you. It’s also a business model that I got involved with some time back and I’ll be sharing that experience with you a little later on
So let’s start with the basics. MLM really involves the selling of products and services through (independent representatives) the name given to people who have joined a MLM company.
It is then up to these people to sell on the company’s services/products and to also recruit other people within the opportunity to do the same. These products/services are not sold in the mainstream shops and are only available through an Independent Representative which is its main selling point.
Once a representative has recruited someone (or they use the word sponsored) to join the business they are then in that representatives team and referred to as their down line. The representative will benefit from any sales made by his/her down line and the idea is to grow the team as wide and as deep as possible so that you can benefit from your own efforts as well as that of your down line. I hope it’s making sense to you so far!
Growing your MLM business is paramount to your success and without it you will probably fail or make very little income, since the power of MLM is in the down line. To grow you’re down line most people start by approaching people (unfortunately not always the best way) in their warm market such as family, friends, and work colleagues.
They do this by inviting people to try the products and services that they are promoting and through this, hopefully someone will like the product enough to buy it and become a long-time customer. This also this gives the representative the chance to talk more about the opportunity in the hope of bringing more people and growing their business. So in a nut shell you going to need a big list of friends, associates and family that you can call on.
Once you have signed up a few people into your business you also need to contact them regularly to make sure that they are actively promoting their new business. Your main role with a new member is to see if there is anything you can do to help them acquire new prospects.
This will more likely involve a lot encouragement and one to one contact. It’s also easier if you can attract motivated, positive people into the business who more importantly believe in the company’s products and services, and will push forward and grow their own business.
This is the ideal outcome since this is how you will make the bulk of you income in the long-term . Without attracting these types of dynamic people into the MLM business you will find things move very slowly, and you will be doing most of the leg work yourself. This is something that I know from personal experience so it’s not a case of anyone will do.
Some of the most popular MLM companies are:
These are just a few and there are many others but I have just listed a few of the most popular MLM.
The pros and cons of MLM give you some insight and a picture of what is involved. If you are someone who can see the long term benefits of success and have the dedication and persistence to see through the many disappointments that you will probably encounter, then MLM could offer you some truly fantastic financial and personal benefits.
Alternatively if you are looking to make some quick money, or easily discouraged and don’t like talking to people then MLM is certainly not for you. I hope you found this information helpful.
