My Girlfriend and I Wsh to Be Our Own Bosses

I have found what you said really interesting!! I’m looking at a patch outside my present company, but don’t know how to go about asking the landlord, will he ask for rent?

Or will my company or another company complain as to the whereabouts. My girlfriend and I wish to be our own bosses, well I want to be her boss ...only joking, and we don’t want to work for stupid managers anymore

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If You Don't Ask You Don't Get!
by: David

Hi Tim

The best thing to do is to find out first who the landlord may be as it may not be the company you work for. Chances are they are just renting it from the landlord on a long term lease.

If the land does belong to your company, put a proposal together and submit it to them. If there are no other local food vendors and you can temp them with a staff discount and special offers, you may stand a good chance of being successful.

If it turn out not to be owned by them, perhaps they can tell you who the landlord is, someone in the accounts department may know, since they are the ones paying the invoice. Once you have their details is then just a matter of contacting them and asking their permission.

It may also be a good idea to ask some of the other local businesses (if any) to find out if this kind of service is in demand.

If you intend to supply a good quality service, and as long as you?re not stepping on anyone patch this could work out well for you.

Finally the bottom line is, if you don't ask you don't get. Be brave and start asking so at least you know the answer - and before someone else beats you to it.

Best of luck

David
