Recommendations for Cheap Commercial Van Insurance?

Please could you let me know if anyone has any recommendations for cheap commercial van insurance?

We would be using the van to transport equipment to and from markets but wouldn't be trading from the van or pulling a trailer. We are getting extortionate quotes from most companies (think 3 times as much as the van!) possibly because my partner is under 25.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hi Kim,

The top tip is to shop around as policy prices can vary greatly between insurance providers. You may also want to consider carefully the size of van, in other words try and get a smaller van if this does the job instead of a bigger van as these can be cheaper to insure.

Also if you have an older type van you could try going for just third party, instead of theft and fire. Limit your mileage and by opting to pay a higher voluntary excess this should reduce the policy price, however the main tip you can do is to shop around and compare best prices.
