Hi I have been offered a catering van on private land but was wondering what I need to get before I can trade from the council etc.

Well you will need to take the following steps to get started:

  • Up to date food and hygiene certificate

  • Register food business with local council

  • Safety Gas/Electrical Certificate

  • Liability Insurance ? protect members of public and your business

  • Trailer insurance protects your asset from theft, loss of earnings etc
