Hello Luz,

It’s all depends on the location and how you plan to operate your mobile catering business. A catering van is great if the pitch allows you to trade with this type of vehicle. You can easily drive on and off a site without needing another towing vehicle. If you plan to be mobile and have a number of sites you visit in a day or week it’s a good choice. You will have to maintain the vehicle with a mot, service etc.

A catering trailer is a good choice if you have a secure permanent site. This will allow the vehicle to stay on-site and will which mean it will not have to be towed back each day. Of course, many do this but you then have to have a safe place to park you trailer at home.

Cost-wise, a catering trailer may be a cheaper option to start with however it all depends on what type of mobile catering business you want to start up.
